Its a small book of around 250 pages that deals specifically with non-equilibrium MOS devices and gives in great detail the physics that goes behind the construction of the SRAM and DRAM. The part on DRAM deserves special mention,I cant recollect any other text that so clearly elucidates its structure - drawing comparisions between charge coupled devices which it resembles partly and basic design of the one transistor cell as the circuit element.It firmly drives home the point as to why a refresh cycle is essential in dynamic RAM by pointing out the inherent non-equlibrium condition of the MOS capacitor and its spontaneity to move into a more stable regime due to electron-hole pair generation that tends to fill up the depleted potential well under the storage gate.And if you want to get a simple yet detailed view of advanced MOS concepts by slightly side-stepping quantum phenomena, the last chapter of the book does that very well.Since no 'inside-search' on the book is available here on Amazon,I shall in brief mention the chapters for the benefit of the interested reader. Ch1. MOS and generation-recombination phenomena,Ch2.Material and Device Characterization,Ch3.Charged Coupled Devices, Ch4.Charged Coupled Devices Applications, Ch5.Semiconductor Memories, Ch6.Advanced MOS concepts.
The chapter on semiconductor memories will not offer detailed circuit descriptions and is more bent on the physical processes that goven their operation.To sum all of these, this book will give you material on non-equlibrium or deep-depletion MOS devices.Equlibrium MOS concepts and applications are not covered here.

Man, I need to go through my boxes of books more often. This is the 2nd book that I've come across that I wish I would have read long ago. I love erotic stories but there is something special about erotic `short' stories. It really is like having a virtual quickie and you can have it anywhere. This book is short enough to read and carry around for a quick fix during lunch, riding the bus, waiting in an office, or (in a perfect world) with your partner right before bed!

This is the type of erotica for the people who like their erotica fast, hard, nasty, and graphic. Jenna is known for her sexuality so when she puts her name to something I expect it to be as sexual and she is. This book was. I read this book on and off for about 3 days. Something I don't recommend unless you have a way of relieving all the pent up sexual energy that you will have. It is a mix of stories so be warned: this book is not for prudes or those of you who are scared, wimpy, shy, or bashful about sex, sexuality, and hardcore erotica! :-)
It was also interesting to read about Jenna's takes and feelings about each story. She also offers up a ton of tips, tricks, and information on how to get your sex life up to par with the people we read about in this soup of sexuality that we call a book.

This entire book was very, very good but I've put my cr�me de la cr�me of the stories below in no particular order.
`She Might As Well Name It' (this is one LUCKY guy)
`Scones and Moans' (very funny and very sexy)
`It Will All End In Tears' (another lucky guy)
`Snow Job' (I wish)
`The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year' (my favorite of the collection)
`Writer's Cramp' (Yes, I'll take a Greyhound ticket to anywhere please)
`Like Chinese Food'
`Goody Two-Shoes' (the most erotic of the collection!)

My only small complaint is that they offered a free audio download when you purchased this book. The one I got was called `All Broken Up'. I was hoping to get something that was like the stories I was reading, meaning hot, uninhibited erotica. What I got was watered down Nora Roberts!! What was up with that? If I was going to buy an audio from this publisher I would have 2nd thoughts. Since it was free I guess I can't complain too much but it would have been nice for it to be consistent with the stories. Leave the audio download out and you have yourself one heck of a good erotica collection!

Sexiest Stories Every

I am a big fan of erotica but I tend to be disappointed with about half the stories in most other anthologies but I loved every story in this book. There are super short ones and somewhat longer ones. It also has great sex tips that are helpful and funny. This is smart, sexy, fun, accessible erotica that my boyfriend loves, too, trying to steal my book when I'm not looking.

Amazing & Riveting

Oh wow! A Hunger So Wild is the second book in the Renegade Angel series. And it follows right from where the first book, A Touch of Crimson - Adrian & Lindsays' story, finishes at. This is Elijah & Vashti's story. If you havent read the first book, you must, because you're missing out on all the character & storyline developments to begin with.

A Hunger so Wild begins in the wake of the Lycan revolution and a viral outbreak among the vampire minions that puts the Sentinel (angels) in a vulnerable position. Their security has been breached leaving a series of betrayal among all 3 clans.

Syre, the leader of the Fallen (vampires) takes advantage of the sentinels vulnerability and sends Vashti, his second-in-command to conduct an allegiance with the Lycans. Despite her hatred for the 'dogs' she obeys her commander and meets with the Alpha of the Lycans, Elijah, whom she suspects is the murderer of her friend.

Elijah, the most dominant of lycans (and one of Adrians most loyal subjects), has been forced to take upon the position as the Alpha of the Lycans despite the consequences he may face from the sentinels.

Vashti, the second most powerful vampire surprisingly discovers that Elijah happens to be her equal that she never thought she would encounter after losing her mate in the past. Their sexual desires for each other soon develops much deeper than they thought that it conflicts with their loyalty for their own kind. Until they can no longer resist each other they have to come to an agreement that will keep them bound together forever.

This book had me hooked from page 1. There's so much more I want to say in this review but I dont want to spoil it for anyone. Im disappointed that it had to end. I just cant get enough of this series that I just want more more more!! And unfortunately I have to suffer and wait the many months for the 3rd book to come.

Sylvia is now officially my most favorite Author. Every single book I have read so far of hers (the crossfire novels as well) has had me in love with her writing.

I would highly recommend this series to anyone that loves paranormal books with HOT SEXY ALPHA HEROES & HEROINES.

A Hunger So Wild is the second in the author's new Renegade Angels series. This book can easily be read by itself as the powerful second in command to the `evil' vampire population, named Vashti is severely tested.

Vashti is a fallen angel who was been punished by being transformed into a bloodsucking vampire. Although fallen, she was content, until the love of her life was killed by lycans. Since that time she has vowed to find his killers and exact her revenge. But without her love, Vashti's confidence has taken a toll. However, she hides this `weakness' behind a mask of cold efficiency for her leader Syre. But trouble brews when a mysterious deadly disease suddenly targets vampires. Unfortunately, the virus is spreading fast and they need help. Syre commands Vashti to seek out their old enemy the lycans. (Lycans were the loyal soldiers of angels sent to keep the vampires in check. But tired of being treated poorly, a large group rebelled and live on the edge of society.) For Syre realizes that the lycans may be open to mutual negotiation in their weakened state. Syre want Vashti to form an alliance to help battle the deadly virus and have added protection from the angels. Vashti grudgingly agrees only to meet with their leader, a reluctant alpha name Elijah.

Elijah has been trying to keep his splintered group alive and together. However, he quickly realizes that the vampires need his help and he isn't above using their desperation for his own needs. But when Vashti and Elijah meet they are stunned by their combustible attraction and the realization that Vashti killed Elijah's friend. They make a deal. Vashti's life for the name of the lycans who killed her lover. But all is not what is seems. And what happens when they uncover a plot that is meant to destroy both of their groups. Can they work together or will passion get in the way?

This book has a lot of attitude and is more thrilling than the first. The action starts immediately. In the first book, A Touch of Crimson, the heroine took a while to learn her abilities but Vashti is in her prime and not afraid to get a bit rough when needed. I was spellbound especially as the diabolical plot behind the death of Vashti's lover's was revealed. The ultimate vampire villain Syre has become one of my favorite characters. He is fascinating and even likeable as his motivations and histories are unveiled. The two main characters are kick a##! I particularly liked that Vashti and Elijah are confident in their powers and strong willed -a fantastic match! They definitely don't take any crap from anyone.

The past tension between the two fractions make for exciting reading. But what I loved was the sheer animal magnetism between the Elijah and Vashti. They literally can't keep themselves away from each other. I could feel their animosity but also the of control lust that burns between them. And the pages heat up as they search for the cure for the virus and try to find those responsible for the death of the Vashti's lover.

I highly recommend this spectacular paranormal read.

In A Hunger So Wild "the enemy of my enemy" is not exactly a friend but an ally born of mutual necessity. The Fallen(vampire) and the Lycan have a good reason for distrusting each other, but with a common enemy and a dire situation for the Fallen, the two races team up and the Fallen's second, Vashti, becomes liaison to the Lycans, despite the fact the she hates 'dogs' for killing her mate and must deal directly with the Lycan's alpha, Elijah, who she's sworn to kill for a more recent crime. A Hunger So Wild was so good. There is a decent amount of touch up with the past leads, Lindsay and Adrian, from the first book A Touch of Crimson, since the background story involves a conspiracy that impacts all three of the groups with past and present angelic ties. And I liked that there is good amount of development of relationships beyond the romantic ones in the cast - Elijah's friendship with Lindsay, Fallen leader Sayre's with Vashti, and a newly developing connection between Sayre and the fledgling who formerly housed the soul of his nephalim daughter.

I also really liked the enemies to lovers romance between Vashti and Elijah. There's a intense, wild, and almost feral chemistry between these leads. However, with two strong and dangerous beings who value control in the mix and so many reasons why a relationship between them is wrong - personal baggage and tested loyalties both - the course of their relationship is far from smooth (and their physical connection starts off with a scene that transitions briefly into iffy consent. ) But the conflicted lustiness makes for some very steamy times between them and I liked the final resolution for the pair in which they make a place for their relationship in a world where their pairing doesn't fit nicely.

For those curious about whether author Day ties the two Renegade shorts into the main story line, both of the pairings from those stories (A Dark Kiss of Rapture and A Caress of Wings) are mentioned briefly, but Raze's looks to be still in progress. Oh and for fans of Day's Marked series (Eve of Destruction, Eve of Chaos, Eve of Darkness) - which shares the same world as this series - there is a brief cameo by Eve, that series' heroine which is fun, but not enough to really catch up with her.

So, I really liked this steamy and satisfying addition to Day's Renegade Angel series and am really curious about how the background plot is going to unfold and I am also really looking forward to seeing Sayre in the lead - Day did a really good job of whetting my appetite for more of his character

I received this book in exchange for an honest unbiased opinion.
This is my first time reading anything by Erica Reeder and let me tell you, I WAS NOT disappointed. First off, the characters in this little bundle were spectacular, who doesn't love a badass independent fairy? A smoking hot vamp? HELLOOO, romance me now. Speaking of, the romantic aspects weren't overbearing like some fantasy/paranormal/romances, but they still held enough sexy to grab you where it counts.
The story line was perfect, most bundle stories like this forget to follow the story line and I was very impressed when this one did. It was also a perfect mix of serious, sarcastic and funny points.
Okay, obviously what I'm trying to say is I loved it and everyone who loves fantasy/paranormal/romances should try this out.

I have to agree with some of the other reviewers, needs major help in the editing department. It was very hard to get through this book but since I received it free for an honest review I kept reading it.
The story itself was pretty good. I enjoyed some of the characters, the snarky comments and banter. I feel it could have been better with more character development and less gaps in the flow of the story.

Jumpin jiminies I'm up to my armpits again

Being an expert sledder, I always scoffed at snowshoers as those hippy-skippys who couldn't afford a snowmobile. Until one fateful day, while waiting for the dentist to remove my first and last wisdom tooth, I browsed through this book by Andersen and became immediately enchanted. Not one to judge a book by its cover, I tried out three different routes as outlined by Andersen and found that he did a masterful job guiding me through the mountains, around the crags and over the criks. The route finding and subsequent snowshoe up (and sled down) of Tumulo mountain will always remain as one of the most special and beautiful day hikes I have done. I felt as if he were but a hundred yards ahead beating a trail through the wilderness for me, not too close but never too far. I loved this book enough to buy my six copies, give them out to fellow sledbums and return the other to the dentist. All told, a great inspirational and practical guidebook, would that there were more like it!

The no-fluff guide to tromping thru the fluff

I found Snowshoe Routes of Oregon to be a great resource as my interest in snow shoeing has grown. The book offers a range of routes for varying levels of skill and/or physical fitness. THe author obviously knows the country he is writting about as well as he knows snowshoeing. The book is both an excellent guide and a great introduction to the budding snowshoe enthusiast.

This book has been very useful to us already and we've only had it for a few months. I was looking for a book to give us some ideas about where to snowshoe in Oregon and this one gives us TONS of ideas. I would highly recommend this book for new snowshoers as well as those of us that are more experienced. There are trails in here that you may never find on your own.

There are roughly 6,000 languages in use in the world today, most of them spoken by a tiny number of people-further proof of humanity's ability to generate intoxicating variety. Sadly, the processes of linguistic imperialism may still be as strong as they have ever been; expansion of the major world languages, particularly English, is, according to Abley, likely to bring about the elimination of most of these languages by century's end. Canadian journalist Abley shrewdly frontloads his book with some of the most exotic languages before moving on to better-known cases (which are also considerably less at risk) such as Proven‡al, Yiddish and Welsh. Readers who think they "get" how languages work may be startled by the considerable deviation from Western norms: for instance, Murrinh-Patha, spoken in Australia, boasts a bewilderingly complex system of pronouns; Mi'kmaq, from eastern Canada and Maine, and Boro, a northern Indian tongue, all but eschew nouns. To read these accounts of dwindling languages-and their often forlorn, marginalized speakers-is to gain insight into the powerful colonial forces still in play. Abley's informal approach makes this more a travel book than a language book; while describing the people and places in affecting detail, he sometimes stints in depicting the languages. Abley also sometimes conflates the extinction of a language with that of the people who speak it; however, his contention rings true that the disappearance of these languages represents "a loss beyond estimation." This generous, sorrow-tinged book is an informative and eloquent reminder of a richness that may not exist much longer.

Of the six thousand or so languages that exist today, more than ninety per cent are endangered. Abley has travelled as far afield as arctic Canada and the Timor Sea documenting the survival strategies or last gasps of some of these languages. The state of Israel resurrected Hebrew, albeit at the expense of Yiddish and Ladino. Faroese, a descendant of Old Norse, is a source of pride to the inhabitants of the Faeroe Islands, but the young "see Faroese as embodying the past, Danish the present, and English the future." English, the language of the marketplace, is spoken by more people than any other language in history, and Abley seems resigned to the judgment of Li Yang, who claims "to have taught English to more than twenty million Chinese": "Chinese people don't learn English because they love it, but because Coca-Cola and Microsoft rule the world."

An inexhaustible subject of tremendous importance

Of all of the many fine loss of language books that I have reviewed here--all great and nothing but praise--this book is a the top of my list. I think you may well come to the same conclusion. But remember, this is such an important and complex subject, that we really cannot have enough books written on it for it is an inexhaustible subject of tremendous importance.

Having read the professional reviews I was eager to get this book. I then read through the Amazon reader reviews and almost changed my mind. Glad I didn't. I won't say that none of the readers' criticisms are valid (see entries below), but I think it's too easy to fall into the Princess and the Pea mindset when evaluating "somebody else's" work. A reader owes it to the writer to try to understand the writer's angle (yes, everybody has one), then evaluate the work based on that, not whether or not it is the same as your own. Hence, what Abley does well is to take you around the globe to sample life in remote areas where native languages are severely threatened. He doesn't just address the language itself, but shows why the language matters . . . showing glimpses of residents' lives, filling out "issues" with flesh and blood. The end result is a mix of travelogue and commentary on linguistic food chain processes. If you have read extensively in this area, this may not be the best choice for you because it does not offer great depth in any one area. If, however, you read widely and wish for a volume that helps to "connect the dots" on important and evolving issues across the globe, then this book is likely to please.

Wonderful, Approachable Overview

Although there is admittedly some small bias in Mark Abley's writing, he presents a well written narrative with an easy to follow, compelling story line. He makes the subject exciting and easily relatable to those of us who don't have linguistics training.

I am now compelled, as an English speaker, to get out there and learn another language. I was especially interested in his discussion of language as a vehicle of thought and how the expression of other languages can teach us so much about thinking of the world through different eyes.

Lots of laughs! Hope they make this into a movie!

I am always a happy camper when ordering from Amazon! They never let me down. We pre-ordered the book during the Summer and it arrived the day of it's release. People don't notice the small stuff but I do. As I took the book out of the package I noticed the book has a smooth texture on the front cover. The book cover in general has a smooth grip- like texture, lol. I always love the smell of a new book but the smooth outside texture of the book adds a good feature to the book.
The book has comic like pictures, but don't think it's a comic strip type book overall. It is a well worded book from the first page to the last page (217 pages overall) each page has a complete word filled page but the pictures adds to the imagination of the child reading this book. My son started reading this book series at 8. He's now 10 and he LOVES this book series so much he looks forward to the new books that come out and every once in a while re-reads the older book series. We even have family movie nights and I don't mind watching the couple movies that have been made from the "Diary of A Whimpy Kid" book series. I'm 32 and I find parts of the movie hillarious so I can only imagine reading this book as a kid. I can't say enough good things about this book or any other book from the series. If you're a parent like me, you'd rather watch your child read VS. Playing video games or watching TV programs. At least while reading it engages a child's imagination as well as improving their spelling. Some studies has shown that kids, especially those that are more visual learners, spelling improves the more they read. :)
I will be on the lookout for more books by this same Author (Jeff Kinney). Don't hesitate to buy the book for your child (ren). I took a glimpse of a few pages already while my son is still at school and it's pretty funny! Ha ha ha. I posted some pictures for previewing. :-D

Business women must have book is definitely Girl Code

This is the most riveting and inspirational women entreprenuer books I have ever read it sure did motivate me more and gave me the encouragement I need to go and make my dream a reality as a business owner. Mrs. Cara is absolutely s brilliant and successful business women who foot steps I am definitely walking in . God's will I will be taking my boutique from a home front to a storefront.I loved her book so much that the next day after I read the book I ordered her other 3 books Champagne Diet, Fear and Fabulous and Sparkle I am so excited and ready to read it thanks Cara for making these awesome books may God continue to bless you and your business sister.

Anyone who is looking for ways to get out of your own head and really create your purpose in your business needs to read this book! Cara's secrets and tips come from real life, real world experience and her no-bull approach forces you to hold yourself accountable and take yourself and your business seriously. Cara is likable, relatable, and wonderful, not to mention supportive and the best source any female entrepreneur could ask for. Amazing!

Shallow drivel

There is no useful information about entrepreneurship here. None whatsoever. Nothing at all about what it actually takes to start your own business, develop a brand, network better as a female, or really anything that the cover copy claims. This booklet is little more than a spinoff of "girl boss," which is already a shallow and useless book.

Here is a summary of the "entrepreneurship advice" in this book.
-Compliment other women regularly
-Don't be jealous of other women
-Compliment other womens' shoes
-Don't be jealous of other women
-Marry a man who isn't "intimidated" by your "ambition."

The "interviews" are redundant drivel from a bunch of arbitrarily selected "girl bosses" that more or less tell you to believe in yourself, follow your passion, and keep going when the going gets tough. No actual, functional advice for women in business, but plenty of lengthy personal anecdotes about the author rushing to TV appearances and getting her eyelashes done.

I have no idea what's up with all the great reviews, unless the entire reader audience is under-educated millennial women who follow Cara's blog and have no aspirations of starting their own business.
