VICKI HANINGER lives near the woods in the Pacific Northwest where rainy days and legendary bad weather contribute to the many happy hours spent inside stitching and writing. She is the author of BLANKET STATEMENT: ONE THRIFTED WOOL BLANKET REPURPOSED INTO 40+ PROJECTS, which was her first indie book, compiled on a whim from projects that were originally posted on her blog, turkey feathers: home craft & everyday adventures, where she writes about the gentle art of living as a "homebody".

Inspiring

Finding this book finally brought an end to searching for a resource that combines instruction with beautiful photography and a wealth of small embroidery designs. If you're looking for something edgy and unusual, keep searching. The patterns in this book are classic and a thoughtful reminder of an era that created time for the pursuit of embellishing life with lovely needlework. I am motivated and inspired by what Vicki Haninger has presented in this book and thankful to her for the opportunity to learn from the projects and to find many ways to create with the designs.

Get your stitcheries on!

If you like cute adorable stitcheries, well then you'll love this book. Page after page of sweet lil pic's that has inspired me stitch. This book is bringing the funk back into embroidery. It is jam packed with ideas and nearly all the designs in it are easy enough for beginners. Luckily for me I bought it for myself for Christmas and what a treat it is indeed. I havent got anything negative to say about the book, only you wont regret having one of these books in your collection to inspire you :-)

What a great embroidery book!

Vicki has written an inspirational book filled with designs with a vintage feel. If you love to embroider and you enjoy a vintage look, this book will be a good buy for you. The instructions are clear and there are pointer for setting up a sewing area. Great book!
